Hotel Del Coronado Family Portraits

I always get excited when I venture to the famous Hotel Del for Coronado Family Portraits.  Coronado is a picturesque slice of San Diego surrounded almost entirely by deep indigo water and features one of the most iconic hotels in the world – Hotel Del Coronado.  Coronado’s Hotel Del has been around for nearly 130 years and one of my favorite things about walking the paths of The Del is that most of the original architecture hasn’t changed a bit!  This rich history makes The Del the perfect place to take your Coronado family photos.

I absolutely love being a film photographer and photographing Coronado family portraits in such a historically rich atmosphere.  Coronado Beach is the perfect location for family portraits at the Hotel Del. Courtney and Clint wanted a laid-back and relaxed session while visiting Coronado and that’s just what we accomplished!  The best place to do this type of session hands-down is the Hotel Del! When vacationing at the Hotel Del, the historical architecture makes the perfect backdrop for your Coronado Family Portraits!

No two Hotel Del Coronado family photo sessions look the same and Coronado’s sunsets and tide schedule can greatly influence the look and feel of your session. Some Coronado Beach sunsets drench clients in a golden glow meanwhile other evenings the sky is painted with a fiery pink flare. Even moody or overcast days in Coronado deliver the most striking Southern California beauty. The Baileys’ session had one of the most vivid pink sunsets I’ve seen in awhile. The sun was glowing orange and washed the sky with vibrant pink tones and cool blue stripes.
