Balboa Park, A History
Where better to have your Balboa Park family photos taken than the Prado fountain? We absolutely loved this space for Jadelyn’s Mother-Daughter session with her two sweet girls! When you think of San Diego for family photos, there’s really nowhere more iconic to go than Balboa Park. With it’s gardens, architecture, and museums, it offers endless places to take photos!
Balboa park is celebrating it’s 150th birthday this year, in 2018! It’s beauty attracts visitors from all over the world. The park has such a rich history from it’s creation in 1868. In fact, during World War II, Balboa Park served as an extension of the Balboa Park Naval Hospital. Not only were buildings utilized for the war effort, but also the iconic Lily Pond was actually used as a rehabilitation pool! The Museum of Art at one point held nearly 400 beds. You can find more Balboa Park history here.
Balboa Park Family Photos Wardrobe Inspiration
Jadelyn pulled the perfect look together for her mother daughter Balboa Park family photos. She wore a soft, lavender wrap dress, with her girls in simple white sun dresses. Jadelyn’s hair and makeup was done by one of my favorite San Diego Makeup Artists: Noire Beaute. She always knows exactly how to nail the look you’re going for and I highly recommend her for your family photos! Scroll down to see some of my favorites from these gorgeous Balboa Park family photos.
Also, can we please talk for a second about this gorgeous, strong mother? She wrangled these two littles with so much grace and still managed to look flawless while doing so!
