Westgate Hotel Wedding
I was over the moon when Stephanie and Kenneth announced the location of their Westgate Hotel Wedding. It was honestly the most intricately detailed wedding I’ve ever photographed.
Stephanie and Kenneth, both US Navy Veterans, met as children in a small California town. Unfortunately, they lost touch very quickly. Soon after, they reconnected through Myspace and bonded over their shared commitment to this country. It wasn’t long before Kenneth realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Stephanie. Before he proposed, he took Stephanie on a long winding walk. The walk had twists and turns, and bumps along the way to signify that their marriage wouldn’t always be easy. His thoughtful gesture ended Attention to detail was something Stephanie and the Lavish team did not skimp on. Stephanie fell in love with the Historic Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego for the blush ballroom with ornate trim, herringbone wood floors, and gilded windows. It became the perfect fit for her Old Hollywood glamorous aesthetic.
Old Hollywood San Diego Wedding
Lavish Wed, one of San Diego’s top wedding planners, pulled Stephanie’s vision to life beautifully. They worked alongside Mr. Floral and Event to create floral arrangements dripping in orchids and soft pink peonies. The bride donned a beautiful long sleeved Hayley Paige Gown with Bella Belle adorned lace shoes. The groom wore a white jacket with silk black lapels, paired with black pants and a bow tie. Groomsmen were dressed to the nine in tuxes, while Stephanie’s bridesmaids wore rose gold sequin gowns to accent the blush-toned wedding.
At the church ceremony, Stephanie and Kenneth exchanged heartfelt vows and included their grandparents in traditional marital ceremonies. A gold, ornate vintage trolley transported the wedding party to the hotel where they captured photos on the grand, Parisian staircase.

Westgate Hotel Versailles Ballroom Reception
Stephanie and Kenneth’s wedding reception at the Westgate Hotel was unlike any I’ve ever seen. The entire room was up lit in soft, blush pink tones which reflected off the silk pink wallpaper. Chandeliers reflected light from hundreds of white candles glowing on the tables as well as onto the shimmering place settings. Furthermore, crystals hung from the beautiful centerpieces, as if they were an extension of the atelier chandeliers. Coupled with a stunning and elegant design, the team at Lavish Weddings produced a truly one of a kind reception. Each place setting had a beautiful orchid garnishing the beautiful scroll-style menus. The dessert table was framed by the most beautiful and exquisite fireplace. It offered sweets in all shades of pinks and blush from chocolate covered strawberries, to macarons, to a 5-tiered cake!

During the reception, the couple danced on a custom white dance floor with an ornate gold logo appliqué. The speeches were absolutely hilarious, and there were many choreographed dances. The groomsmen even surprised us all with a hilarious coreographed dance for the garter toss – complete with rose petals flying through the air!

Stephanie and Kenneth truly chose a dream team to bring their wedding day vision to life. We all absolutely love you, Steph and Kenneth, and we cannot wait to see where life takes you together!
