Smith Rock Family Photos

Marissa feels like an old friend of mine, but here’s the crazy part – we met for the first time in person at their Smith Rock family photos session! Marissa is the reason I got into private editing, and her course, The Profitable Editor’s Kit has changed SO MANY LIVES – especially mine! It’s been so awesome getting to know her in our long distance text and GIF’ing friendship!  I was so honored when she chose me for her Smith Rock family photos session in Oregon.

Style

The whole clan came dressed to impress. I love that Marissa planned their entire wardrobe off of  Jordan’s plaid shirt. This is such a unique situation, because typically the wardrobe stems from a statement piece from a child’s outfit or an accessory from the mom’s outfit. I love that Marissa made sure to include Jordan’s opinion on the outfits, and it became a team effort.  Like all of the family sessions I photograph, we wanted the vibe to be relaxed and stress free. We had a ton of fun playing around and capturing each of the littles’ personalities, along with the entire family dynamic as a whole as we wandered around the overlook area during their Smith Rock family photos.

The Location | Smith Rock State Park

The steep, jagged rock walls at this location frame a gorgeous river flowing through the rocky landscape. I’d never even heard of the State Park until Marissa suggested it for her Smith Rock family photos. Here are a few of my favorite images from their Smith Rock Family Photo session!
