What a more perfect way to create magical San Diego Bay Engagement Photos than by chartering a yacht or sailboat? I’m all about creating real, genuine memories during your shoot, so when Anna and Phil came to me, we knew we had to go all out and give them the best experience!
The San Diego Bay are beautiful bodies of water hug the edge of the waterfront city, creating a mellow, relaxing recreational area for all sorts of water activities. Sailing on the bay gives way to beautiful views of the San Diego skyline and the iconic Coronado Bridge. The bay boasts 12 long miles of shoreline to discover on a relaxing sailing getaway. The backdrops from a Sailboat provide a picturesque area to take your photos.
Not only does the San Diego Bay hosts 10 museum ships, but also these ships range from retired Naval Destroyers like the USS Midway, to the Star of India, the world’s oldest active sailing ship! Furthermore, if you love all things Nautical like I do, don’t forget to check out the San Diego Maritime Museum!
One thing to prep for with a Sailboat or Yacht engagement session on the San Diego Bay is wind! Be prepared to embrace the breeze, and let me handle the rest!
I can’t get enough of the props my clients bring to shoots to really add a wow factor. Anna loves tropical florals, so she had a bouquet made. When in doubt, always say yes to flowers. Phil and Anna are both musicians, so they decided to bring their guitar along. When they sang in harmony together it gave me goosebumps. They share the most beautiful love story, and I am so thankful I was able to capture this part of their relationship.
