This Southern California group of vendors teamed up to gift a couple affected by Covid-19, their dream wedding day. Nicky and her now husband, Dillon, are an active duty military family. Nicky and Dillon’s wedding was canceled due to Covid-19. Once Kayla, of Simply Gorgeous Events, learned this news, she crafted a plan. She crafted a team of vendors to gift the heartbroken couple an experience they’d never forget. Nicky is originally from Thailand. Her wedding was to be held in her her homeland with the most beautiful Southeast Asian sunset backdrop. Nicky and Dillon arrived at Park Hyatt Aviara to find details big and small encompassing the Thai-inspired aesthetic we came together with our team to create.
From twinkling canopies and ornate architecture to soft golden sunset florals, this is unlike any wedding inspiration you’ve ever seen. Raised acrylic table settings with uniquely arranged florals underneath adorned the tablescape. Abundant candles flickered in amber glassware alongside hints of gold accents. Furthermore, dusty orchid velvet chairs surrounded the table as flickering canopy lights danced above.
Heather and Bianca, representing the brand Beauty By Stacey, crafted a sleek and soft bridal look for our model, Nicky. Featuring soft waves and a center part, this modern bridal hairstyle paired beautifully with the bride’s Ines Di Santo gown from Archive Bridal. Likewise, accessories and shoes pulled for the look from Archive Bridal tied the everything together.
Park Hyatt Aviara, Carlsbad San Diego Wedding Venue | Palm Court Wedding Ceremony
Working with the newly-renovated Park Hyatt Aviara resort, located just North of San Diego in Carlsbad, California, we were able to bring fresh inspiration to a staple event space in the San Diego region. This San Diego wedding venue features multiple locations to host events large and small. We fell in love with the Palm Court for our ceremony location. Brooklyn built a soft, cloud-like arbor in contrast to the lush, tropical landscape. Weightless and airy florals dripped down from a simple arch shaped sculpture. Clustered aisle pieces adorning rows of amber ghost chairs provided a great way to lead the eye toward the focal point arbor.
The Gardens | Park Hyatt Aviara Outdoor Reception Venue In San Diego
If you are in need of a large wedding venue space with a gorgeous outdoor feel, The Gardens at Park Hyatt Aviara are the most lovely location for larger wedding spaces. With gorgeous views of the Pacific behind moroccan tiled fountains and fire features in one direction, and a Cinderella staircase lined with palms in another, this space is perfect for a sunset al fresco dinner.

Stationery by Four Things Paper showcased a hand-drawn sketch of Park Hyatt Aviara’s Garden Staircases. Loren also hand-painted watercolor florals, and tones of blush calligraphy as a soft accent to the warm palette. Furthermore, each name paired beautifully crafted watercolor with hand-painted calligraphy.
Celebrity Pastry Chef, Christophe Rull, crafted the most beautiful dessert table & cake. When booking an event at Park Hyatt Aviara, weddings include the most stunning in-house cake and pastries. Snake Oil Cocktail Company provided stunning craft cocktails. Their creativity is mind blowing, and they always find a way to match the aesthetic of every event, and their cocktails taste as good as they look. In fact, I cannot recommend a better bar service for your event.
Simply Gorgeous Events, envisioned a twinkling bungalow romantic sweetheart table for Nicky and Dillon. We love this look because the twinkling bungalows can used individually, or multiplied for each table to create a stunning way to divide the large Garden space at Park Hyatt Aviara. The team at To Be Designed utilized minimalist framed canopies to achieve this magical effect. TBD placed gold lanterns above the floral explosion below, which reflected light and added to the ambiance.
