When Kim and Viet reached out for their Lake Tahoe sunset engagement photos, I was SO excited! I knew immediately from the photos they shared and the way they spoke that they’d be down to hike to one of my favorite top secret beaches!

Selfishly, I love this beach because it’s where Chris and I spent so much time with Teddy while living there. Not many clients are able to make the hike (or are willing to hike in full hair and makeup AND a dress), but for these two, it was a breeze!

Lake Tahoe’s East Shore is my favorite part of the lake. There are so many hidden trails that wind through the forest, and reveal nearly untouched beauty. The smooth granite rocks just below the surface of the clear blue water are a beautiful site with the sun’s reflection bouncing off the surface.

These two are so adventurous and fun! Viet had me cracking up from the second we found this little clearing in the woods and started the session. It’s hard to relax in front of a complete stranger with a camera, but they had no trouble at all. I love that he and Kim took the opportunity to make real memories while we photographed their Lake Tahoe sunset engagement photos.

After they snuck behind the boulders for a quick outfit change, Kim wore the most beautiful blush dress from Lulu’s, and Viet kept it simple in Tahoe blue. We were graced with the most beautiful soft, sunset, and everything about their session is what makes me love shooting in Tahoe so much! I wish you two the best of luck in the coming years!
