Ashley and Matt are probably the coolest, most down to earth clients I’ve ever had – and, you guys, they brought me pie! When Ashley first asked if I liked pie, I was confused. Was she asking my opinion on her wedding dessert? Turns out there’s an amazing pie place on the way from the Bay area called Ikeda’s. She was so sweet to think of me and seriously this thing looked amazing. Also, I’ve been living under a rock because every time I tell this story people are shocked and stunned that we’ve lived here 3 years and not had it! Here’s the kicker though… the kicker that just about gets me kicked after I say it…. we LEFT WITHOUT THE PIE. Worst gift receiver ever.
I blame it on my husband, Chris, and Matt, chatting away like old friends after the shoot, while Ashley’s feet froze in the sand. Side note – if you’re around Ashley, there’s something you need to know: shoes in the sand are unacceptable. Always. – ha! She’s a SoCal native, teaching me all the life skills I need to really succeed as a Southern California girl, and I can’t thank her enough for that! 😉
About The Couple
Ashley and Matt are avid campers, and love the outdoors. They got engaged at Zion, um hello gorgeous, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled when they chose me to shoot their North Shore Lake Tahoe engagement session! We had a perfect night, and even got to venture to a part of the beach that’s usually just too windy for photos. Ashley’s blush wrap dress complemented Matt’s crisp blue shirt wonderfully for that mountain yet beachy look only The Lake of The Sky can provide.
Check out some of my favorites from right at sunset during their Lake Tahoe Engagement Session at Sand Harbor. I had so much fun bonding with them over copious amounts of laughter, and can’t wait to shoot their Dancing Pines wedding next summer!
