First Landing State Park Photography Session

Alex and Chas were one of my wedding couples I photographed back in Lake Tahoe a few years ago. Their wedding was a winter dream with a picturesque mountain backdrop!

Chas reached out to me before Christmas, and we discovered that we could make a Virginia Beach photo session work while I was there visiting family! Chas surprised Alex with a photography session for Christmas, but she surprised us with news that she was expecting a second child!

I had so much fun documenting their First Landing State Park photography session! you wouldn’t know it by looking at these photos, but the wind chill at First Landing State Park was around 9 degrees! We had to take a break about 10 minutes in to warm up in the car! This was not surprising at all to me, as their wedding was equally chilly! Alex wore a stunning flowing gown, and I love how she tied her sweater up as an adorable accessory. Chase’s little fur hood was adorable, and she was so happy playing in the sand for the first time!
