If you haven’t been to Coronado, I highly recommend checking out the Hotel Del Coronado and the iconic sand dunes just north of the hotel! This is such a lovely place for a family session. The dunes are private, and so lovely. Also, the powder soft sand paired with lush green ice plant makes for a beautiful photo combination! Furthermore, the water at the Hotel Del Coronado provides beautiful views of iconic Point Loma in the distance!

These Coronado family photos on the sand dunes were perfect. We had lovely weather and golden light for the perfect fall session! I recommend always scheduling your photoshoot for an hour prior to sunset. This allows us to capture the most lovely lighting conditions in the dunes. Also, did you know that the dunes spell out Coronado from above? You can look for the beach when you fly into San Diego! Lastly, the dunes offer up a ton of privacy for less distraction, and peace of mind. This means you’ll be able to make memories with your family and be silly without onlookers.
