The Prado At Balboa Park Wedding Venue | San Diego Wedding Venue

Balboa Park Wedding Venue

San Diego has hundreds of the country’s most beautiful wedding venues. One of the most beautiful venues, in my eyes, is a Balboa Park Wedding. Had Chris and I lived in San Diego at the time of our wedding, The Prado at Balboa Park wedding venue would have been one of my top choices. I love Balboa because, not only can you rent it as a wedding venue, it’s open to the public and a dream location for engagement photo sessions.

Here are a few images I captured on film while wandering around this enchanting San Diego wedding venue.

The Prado At Balboa Park

The Prado at Balboa Park wedding venue has so many options to fit you and your fiancé perfectly. Whether you’re interested in a small San Diego elopement, or a larger event, Balboa Park has many options to fit your needs. The Prado at Balboa Park Wedding Venue has many options for ceremony and reception locations, but my favorite is Casa Del Rey Moro Gardens!

The Prado Casa Del Ray Moro Gardens

This site can accommodate up to 320 guests for a wedding ceremony. Casa Del Ray has the most beautiful and picturesque garden terrace for your event. The Prado’s multi-level terrace is divided by a grand ballroom style staircase, adorned with Spanish tile. The stunning reflection pool is a perfect focal point leading to the altar. The terrace features historic fountains with intricate detailing. Casa Del Ray Moro Gardens provide the perfect backdrop for a secluded garden wedding.

The Prado Fountain Courtyard

The Fountain Courtyard makes for the most elegant cocktail hour and reception space. Old Spanish Archways give the most romantic feel, and the two-story architecture allows for aerial cocktail hour views. This allows me to capture unique and candid guest images! The existing, soft uplighting will make any wedding design feel intimate and dreamy.

I adore all of the beautiful event sites that Balboa Park has to offer, and it’s surrounding gardens available to utilize for portraits. Choosing a Balboa Park Wedding Venue, will ensure you walk away with stunning images to cherish for years to come.
