Megan and Jon are one of the coolest couples I’ve worked with! Jon proposed to Megan on top of Genoa Peak, an over 9,000 ft. summit! They hiked 11 miles to view some of the best views Lake Tahoe’s rim trail has to offer!
Jon and Megan are avid mountain bikers and hikers. They even go snow shoeing in the winter! Their wedding at 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs in Genoa, Nevada incorporated small details from their common interests that truly encompassed both of their personalities!
The David Walley’s Hot Springs grounds were phenomenal! They were the perfect backdrop for a gorgeous Northern Nevada Wedding!
The gorgeous wedding venue offered the bride and her maids an adorable bridal suite to utilize. I love Megan’s simple rustic bouquet which paired evergreens and pine cones beside white roses and hydrangeas.
The gentlemen utilized one of the on-site hotel rooms to get ready. Megan sent Jon a special note prior to the ceremony!
This is one of very few shots we were able to capture of the unity candles. Shortly after this photo was taken, the wind coming off the mountain picked up the table and flipped it over, crushing the glass candlesticks – yikes!
The winds died down long enough for Jon and Megan to make it through the ceremony! The temperature dropped and I think it’s safe to say, everyone was ready to get out of the cold and get the party started!
The reception site was stunning! I couldn’t get enough of the intricate architecture. The custom caricatures on the cake were fabulous, and I love the mini snow shoe details in the centerpieces.
Thank you Jon & Megan for allowing me to document your beautiful day! You are such a pleasure to work with and I wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors!
