Jenna and Benji’s Orange County Jewish Wedding was truly a roller coaster. Due to Covid-19, the Dareys were forced to postpone their lavish wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado. Jenna and Benji to be married this year, however, they had one major problem, Jenna and Benji both have large, tight-knit families. How would they narrow down their guest list? Where would they have the ceremony? And lastly, how could they ensure the safety of their loved ones?

Jenna and Benji are a driven and dedicated couple, and they wanted an August wedding. They settled on a backyard wedding at Jenna’s childhood home. They placed the Chuppah alongside the pool she learned to swim. Guests were all tested for Covid prior to attending the ceremony. Benji and Jenna even added special socially distanced seating from the terrace of the home. This allowed for any at-risk family members to celebrate from afar. The men gathered in the courtyard for a traditional Ketubah signing ceremony, while the women gathered in Jenna’s mother’s garden for a lively celebration of well wishes and love.

My favorite part of the entire day is when Benji’s face lit up after seeing Jenna for the first time. Jenna and Benji, your chemistry is electric. When Benji prayed over Jenna, everyone began to cry. This was truly a beautiful and heartfelt moment.

Orange County Jewish Wedding | Inspiration

Jenna and Benji hired the most amazing team of vendors to pull together their intimate backyard wedding. JK Events worked alongside Lark florals to transform Jenna’s childhood home into a fairytale winding aisle, with a lush flower-filled Chuppah at the focal point.

For an intimate dinner, thousands of twinkle lights cascaded over guests to create the most beautiful open-air wedding venue. The brides’ mother and sister-in-law created the most beautiful homemade wedding cake I’ve ever seen. The evening was full of heartfelt toasts, and flower petals that rained during dancing from the second story terrace guests. Overall, this was the most perfect, unexpected backyard Orange County Jewish wedding that Southern California has ever seen. Jenna and Benji, I wish the two of you nothing but love and happiness in your marriage!
